Overview
This article provides clarification about the Email Greylist and most importantly, the supported wildcards within this list.
Greylisting is a method of defending e-mail users against spam. A mail transfer agent (MTA) using greylisting will "temporarily reject" any email from a sender it does not recognize.
Information
- The supported wildcard entries for Greylist is different from that of Whitelist and Blocklist.
- Currently, it only supports the whole domain like
*@domain.com
or*@server.domain.com
. - Entries such as
*@*.domain.com
,*@.domain.com
, and other formats mentioned in the article below are not supported by Greylist email exclusion.
