How to Identify

Application Event logs show the gfiscans.exe faulting or crashing due to an unknown module, the Faulting module name: 20.3.164.33, or the kernalbase.dll

Workaround / Fix Details

Please download and install http://psg.gfi.com/ME/Patches/ME20/GFIME-1619d.zip Unzip the files, right click each and select properties. Unblock the files if necessary. Please stop the Transport, then all MailEssentials services. Replace all instances of the files in the GFI\MailEssentials\AntiSpam directory with these (making a backup of the current files). Start the services back up and monitor.
