Fixes for issues in previous release:
- Language detection blocked emails whose locale is not detected
- Deploying SpamTag via GPO failed to set language
- Multi-server over HTTPs failed due to 404 error
- Access list user lookup took a long time to load users from Active Directory with substantial amount of users
- Cannot log into user interface if user's password contains certain characters
- Installation failed due to issues when migrating email blocklist
- Master server showed offline after installing GFI MailEssentials 2015 SR1
- Non delivery report looped into GFI MailEssentials until it's quarantined due to too long subject
- Error shown when clicking on reporting MailInsights tab
- Evaluation key showed Antispam filtering as not licensed
- Switchboard disabling of processing did not disable the GFIMESMTPAgent
- Ticket supplied expired error when quarantine emails were approved from configuration user interface
- Quarantine search failed to load if accessed through SpamTag
- Temporary files created by POP2Exchange were not being deleted after finishing processing
- Internal emails were being detected as inbound on Microsoft Exchange 2013
- Email whitelist filter not detecting emails in whitelist if the database contained empty entries
- GFI MailEssentials auto update patches failed with error ‘Some or all identity references could not be translated’.
- Out of office emails configured in Microsoft Outlook 2013 were not being detected
- GFI MailEssentials 2015 failed to install on Windows 2003 SBS
- Synchronization between multi-server nodes failed due to latency in Active Directory queries
- Emails with specific format in public folder of email blocklist caused training to stop working
- Logging into configuration could take up to 2 minutes due to refreshing of caches
- Quarantine search functionality did not work if GFI MailEssentials backend service memory usage was over 1GB
- Multi-server slave configuration is not retained after settings slave configuration
Note:
GFI MailEssentials Synchronization Agent has been deprecated and this feature has been replaced with the Multi Server feature. The multi-server feature uses modern technologies and communication protocols to ensure that GFI MailEssentials servers synchronize with each other yet keep on working in an independent mode in case of any issues with the network.This feature is not enabled by default and for information on this please refer to

Installation requirements for GFI MailEssentials 20:
- If installing on Microsoft IIS SMTP (x86 \ x64) or Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, then Microsoft IIS with SMTP Service installed is required
- If installing on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010, one of the following combinations of Exchange 2007/2010 Server Roles must be present: Mailbox and Hub Transport or (ii) Hub Transport or (iii) Edge Transport
- If installing on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Service Pack 1 or later is required
- If installing on Microsoft Exchange Server 2013, Mailbox or Edge role is required
- If installing on Microsoft Exchange Server 2016, Mailbox or Edge role is required

- ASP.NET® 4.0/4.5
- Internet Information Services (IIS®) World Wide Web service
- WCF HTTP Activation - required when using SpamTag plugin for Microsoft Outlook
- MSMQ - Microsoft® Messaging Queuing Service. The installation detects if MSMQ is not installed and offers the option to automatically install it.
