Overview
You receive the following error when accessing the Malware Quarantine Options:
Exception Decrypting. Decryption Failed. Key not valid for use in specified state.
Environment
- GFI MailEssentials
- All supported environments
Root Cause
The cause of this error is incorrect or corrupted proxy configuration.
Resolution
- Stop all GFI MailEssentials Services.
- Browse to
..\GFI\MailEssentials\Emailsecurity\Data. - Open avapicfg.mdb in Microsoft Access.
- Open the
tb_ldapsettingstable. - Delete the settings from the
userandpasswordfields. - Delete the contents of
proxyuserandproxypw. - Close the avapicfg.mdb database.
- Restart all GFI MailEssentials Services.
