Overview
This article provides instructions to configure GFI MailEssentials to prevent spam emails being sent to Blackberry Servers.
Process
Configure GFI MailEssentials as follows to prevent spams being sent to Blackberry Servers:

Navigate to GFI MailEssentials configuration > Anti-Spam and right-click one of the anti-spam filters (for example SpamRazer).

In the Actions tab, configure GFI MailEssentials to tag the email with specific text: spam.

Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for each of the anti-spam features you have enabled.

Use the Rules manager on the mailboxes accessible from Blackberry devices and configure the rule to send the Spam emails to a sub-folder.
NOTE: You can run the Rules Manager under the Blackberry Enterprise Server Administrator.

Log in to the Blackberry Server using the Blackberry Enterprise Server Administrator.

In the Blackberry Enterprise Server Management tool, right-click the Server Name and open the Properties window.

Select Global Filters > New.

Enter a name for the filter. (Example:
spam
) -
Select Subject and enter:
[spam]

Select Don't forward to handheld.
