Answer
When debug logging is enabled GFI MailEssentials will log information on each email which can be used for troubleshooting purposes. The debug logs will be located in the <GFI\MailEssentials\debuglogs> directory. When GFI MailEssentials is working correctly, debug logging can safely be disabled.Note that in GFI MailEssentials the debug logs will be stored in the following locations:
- GFI\MailEssentials\DebugLogs
- GFI\MailEssentials\ActionServices\DebugLogs
- GFI\MailEssentials\Antispam\DebugLogs
- GFI\MailEssentials\Attendant\DebugLogs
- GFI\MailEssentials\Backend\DebugLogs
- GFI\MailEssentials\EmailSecurity\DebugLogs
- GFI\MailEssentials\WwwConf\DebugLogs
- Navigate to the GFI MailEssentials Switchboard. Start > All programs > GFI MailEssentials > Switchboard
- Locate the Tracing Tab
- If you would like to disable the logs from writing, uncheck the "Tracing Enabled" check box and hit apply OR
- If you would like to enable the logs from writing, check the "Tracing Enabled" check box and hit apply.
