Problem Summary
Periodically, GFIScanS.exe (the antispam scanning engine service) will crash and in the error, mimecom.dll will be listed as the fault. Mailflow may also be backed up into the Exchange submission queue until the GFIScanS.exe service is restarted.

How to Identify
In the Application Event log, this error will be present. If the error is not present, the admin may just see mailflow backed up into the Exchange submission queue until the AS Scanning engine service is restarted:
