Answer
PROBLEM
GFI MailEssentials is blocking alerts sent from Groupshield for Microsoft Exchange.
ENVIRONMENT
- GFI MailEssentials
- All supported environments
SOLUTION
To solve this problem, you have the following options:
Option 1:
Change the way that Groupshield for Microsofy Exchange represents the FROM email address in the alert email.
Option 2:
Configure GFI MailEssentials not to check for invalid email addresses from the GFI MailEssentials configuration > Anti-Spam > Properties of Header Checking > Disable Check if the email header contains a malformed MIME FROM: field
Note: This functionality is disabled in GFI MailEssentials. If the email is blocked in GFI MailEssentials, it is one of the other filters doing so.

CAUSE
Some HTML alerts sent from Groupshield can have the following format:
From: GSEMAILSERVER (256gf3d5-1)
To: administrator@gfi.com
Cc:
Subject: ALERT - GroupShield ticket number OA1066311308_465_0_MAILSERVER was generated
By default GFI MailEssentials will block such a message since the FROM email address is not a valid email address.
