Description
Type: ReleaseProduct: GFI MailEssentials 2012
Improvements:
-
Speed improvements in dashboard user interface
- Some reporting database connections were not being closed successfully and caused failures in email processing, licensing and web user interface
- The quarantine page failed to load due to timeout error caused when accessing a large quarantine database
- Whitelist and approve functionality was not working when triggered from quarantine digest email
- The quarantine approve functionality did not work for emails addressed to non-primary email addresses
- Outbound email containing large attachments took a long time to be processed and caused email to queue up
- Instead of showing the user which logged on to it, the web user interface displayed the user logged on to the operating system
- Quarantine digest was not sent to shared mailbox accounts
- When an anti-spam module failed to process an email, it was not added to the count of failed emails on dashboard and the failed email notification was not being sent
- Personal whitelist and blocklist user list and entries were not sorted in alphabetical order
- Email containing mixed internal\outbound recipients was processed by anti-spam filters even if whitelisted by IP Whitelist
- Dashboard incorrectly displayed Norman anti-virus as the failing module if directory harvesting filter failed to process an email
- Email quarantined by anti-spam filters were not shown when selecting the ‘Quarantined’ option from the dashboard’s Scan Result selection
- The anti-phishing updates module reported an error in event log and terminated if the consecutive failures count was set incorrectly in the configuration database
- Quarantine digest was not sent on every Sunday if the ‘Everyday’ option was set in the configuration
- Attachments contained within digitally signed outbound emails were being converted to BIN extension files
- The Whitelist and Email Blocklist configuration pages failed to load up due to a time-out. This was caused by the Personal Whitelist and Personal Blocklist settings when loading whitelist\blocklist settings for each Active Directory user
-
The LDAP BaseDN control remained disabled when pressing the Update DN list. This problem occurred if GFI MailEssentials was set not to use Active Directory users
