Overview
When trying to approve an email from Quarantine, this message appears:
Email with id xx cannot be approved since it was blocked by VSAPI
Environment

Root Cause
Emails blocked by Virus Scan Application Programming Interface (VSAPI) are considered of high potential risk and cannot be retrieved or approved from Quarantine.
Resolution
- These emails cannot be retrieved as they are considered of high potential risk. If the email is a false positive and contains a Macro, the option to scan for Macros must be disabled in the Scanning Engines and the email must be resent.
- Scanning Engines that support Macro Checking include BitDefender, Norman, and McAfee.
- In order to disable Macro Checking, access the engines individually, click the General tab and set Macro Checking to 'Do not check macros'.
