How to Identify

MailEssentials is unable to install on an Exchange 2003 or SMTP relay server. In the installation log, you will see this error: Error 1720.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Workaround / Fix Details

Upgrade customer to GFI MailEssentials 2015 or later By deleting all but one SMTP server, the installation can continue. If the customer is unwilling to delete the additional SMTP virtual servers, they will need to wait for SR3.
