Answer
PROBLEM
When disclaimers are enabled, attachments are stripped (or missing) from the received email.
ENVIRONMENT
- GFI MailEssentials
- all supported environments
SOLUTION
Re-edit the disclaimer, so that the end of the email body does not contain an extra line. This can be done by either adding or subtracting a word from the disclaimer.
CAUSE
A period at the end of the disclaimer with its own line is the 'STOP' command given to the SMTP interpreter. Because the stop command is issued, the SMTP sink or Transport agent cuts off the data transmission causing the removal of the attachment.
