Server Error in '/MailEssentials' Application accessing the dashboard

Overview

Runtime Error: Server Error in '/MailEssentials' Application triggered when accessing the MailEssentials Configuration UI. The issue is caused by a misconfigured .NET Framework version for the IIS application pools and MailEssentials.

Solution

  1. Update the .NET Framework to at least version 4.5
  2. Configure the MailEssentials and MailEssential Service pool in IIS to use .NET Framework v4
  3. Restart the server

Confirmation

The MailEssentials Configuration UI is now accessible.
