Local antivirus solution detects a virus in "aswiz.exe"

Overview

After upgrading from an older version to MailEssentials 21.6, the local antivirus detected the \GFI\MailEssentials\AntiSpam\aswiz.exe file as infected. Checking it in VirusTotal another 8 VirusScanner engines confirmed the infection.

Information

The file in question is the installation kit of the Bayesian Analysis Filter:

Your antivirus solution as well as VirusTotal are recognizing it as a "false positive" malware. A "false positive" report has been opened to try to clarify this.

This file is only used for the installation of the Bayesian Analysis Filter, and it is not a harmful file. To prevent false positives, please exclude the GFI MailEssentials Folder from your antivirus solution, as described in the Recommended Anti-virus and Backup Exclusions article.

The images below show the details of the file:

If you would prefer to remove the file you can do so since this is not used for any MailEssentials filtering process but only to install the Bayesian Analysis Filter.
